WOW...Rummaging through my PC again...I stumbled arcoss this 'Antique'; the old "Hanky Code". A genuine article of "homobelia", The Hanky Code is a traditional form of signalling to others what your sexual preferences and interests are. Gay men used this code to communicate with each other in the noisy and distracting environment of gay bars. Although not as widely used these days, it is still a worthwhile resource and is, among those who know, a great conversation starter...As if you didn't know this already. I have had this for over 20 years and it was an antique when I found it online. I can remember as a small child, my cousin taking me to "head" shops, one saturday afternoon in the late 60's. We had just been to a "Peace Rally" on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus OH. In these shops I remember seeing these brightly colored handkerchiefs hanging in bundles, and remember thinking about how pretty all the colors were...not realizing their REAL purpose...Enjoy this blast from the past!
